SHIPPING POLICY

1. Shipping Coverage

All orders are shipped domestically within Japan only. International shipping is not available at this time.

2. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on delivery destination and order details. Free shipping may apply to certain orders or regions; details will be confirmed at the time of purchase.

3. Processing and Delivery Timeline

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days after purchase confirmation. Standard delivery time within Japan is approximately 2-5 business days depending on destination prefecture.

4. Shipping Method

All shipments are handled by major courier services operating in Japan. You will receive tracking information via email once your order has been dispatched.

5. Shipping Delays and Issues

In case of any shortage, delay, or other shipping-related issues, you will be informed promptly. For urgent inquiries regarding your order, please contact us at help@yokaijapan.jp or via our contact form.

6. Remote and Isolated Areas

Shipment to remote islands or rural areas may require additional time or fees. We will notify you of any additional costs before confirming your order.

7. Delivery Refusal

In cases where delivery is refused or the customer is unable to receive the shipment, the customer may be liable for both the initial shipping cost and return shipping cost.

RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

1. Return Eligibility - Unopened Products (Change of Mind)

Customers may return unopened and unused products within 14 days of delivery. To qualify for return:

- The product must remain in its original, sealed condition with all protective seals intact

- Original packaging must be undamaged and complete

- The product must show no visible signs of use or handling

- A return shipping fee of ¥600 will be deducted from the refund amount (customer responsible for return shipping)

This return period applies only to returns initiated by the customer due to personal reasons (e.g., change of mind) and is offered voluntarily by YOKAI PERFUME beyond the minimum requirements of Japanese law.

2. Opened or Used Products

Products that have been opened, used, or show any signs of use cannot be returned. This includes:

- Products with broken or damaged seals

- Products with tags or protective films removed

- Products showing evidence of use or handling

- Products no longer in mint condition

These products are ineligible for return except in cases of product defect or damage caused during shipping.

3. Defective Products

If you receive a product with manufacturing defects, you may request either a full refund or replacement at no additional cost. Manufacturing defects include:

- Defects causing product leakage or spillage

- Atomizer or bottle malfunction

- Broken or missing components

- Product contents that materially differ from the ordered product

Note: Fragrance preferences (scent profile, longevity, scent strength) do not constitute product defects. Returns based solely on fragrance preferences cannot be accepted.

4. Damage During Shipping

If your product arrives damaged during shipment, contact us within 7 days of delivery. You must provide:

- Photos of the damaged product

- Photos of the damaged packaging

- Your order number

Upon verification of shipping damage, we will provide either a replacement or full refund at no additional cost. Please retain the original packaging until the claim is fully resolved.

5. Incorrect Product or Missing Items

If you receive a product different from your order or if items are missing, contact us within 14 days of delivery. You must provide:

- Photos of the received product and packaging

- Your order number and details of the discrepancy

We will arrange either a replacement with the correct product or a full refund (including return shipping costs) at no additional charge to you.

6. Non-Arrival of Products

If your ordered product does not arrive within the expected delivery window, contact us as soon as possible. We will:

- Determine if the package is lost or delayed
